Facebook continues to roll out features, the first with an ads creative tool for turning images into videos together with allowing admins to pin comments inside Groups. Instagram rolls out a new engagement tool and LinkedIn is making it easier for candidates to find jobs with their preferred companies.

Facebook launches new ads tool to convert still images to video

  • Video is now the most engaging format online, therefore it looks like Facebook have tried to simplify the process of creating engaging content for consumers
  • Facebook announced “our Creative Shop team developed a production approach called Create to Convert, an easy framework to add lightweight motion to still images to create more compelling and effective direct-response ads”

Instagram is rolling out an option to send polls in Instagram DMs

  • Instagram is really upping their game, encouraging users to engage with each other!
  • Rolling out to Instagram users across IOS and Android, you’ll soon be able to send direct polls through Instagram’s direct messenger

LinkedIn adds new job listing tools

  • LinkedIn has announced a new remote working job search filter which you can select when looking/applying for jobs
  • The filter will indicate to consumers that the role is completely remote
  • They have also announced new job alerts from companies that you follow on the platform

Group admins on Facebook can now pin comments to the top discussion threads

  • Facebook is seeing users move away from the main social feed and are trying to facilitate discussion in other areas, such as groups
  • Admins now have the ability to pin comments to the top of the thread, allowing them to more easily navigate discussion amongst the group
