11-19-The importance of resourcefulness

Time is just a bullsh*t excuse that is used by people to not do things they want to do and can do, but they just can’t be bothered doing. It’s never a question of time, it’s never a question of resources. However, the importance of resourcefulness must always be on the table. Resourcefulness should live on the table.

It is a question of resourcefulness and priorities…

And being able to execute whilst ignoring all of the noise around you.

The noise that wants to distract you and take your time, your energy and oxygen to get to focus on drama rather than productivity and producing the things that need to be done.

Everyone has the same 24 hours in the day, including myself. Einstein had the same 24 hours, Steve Jobs had the same 24 hours. Time is such a bullsh*t excuse.

We can’t manage time, we can only manage energy.

The next most important thing after time and energy, is perspective.

It’s about understanding there are people out there that have it far worse, or different situations to you, and they’re crushing you right now. They’re making your excuses look pathetic because they’re actually building a five million dollar business with 15 staff, they’ve got one child with special needs and they’re still working full time, and still managing that hustle.

It’s about managing your priorities and learning that balance is a myth, you’re never going to have balance. It’s a complete myth, it’ll be a bunch of spinning plates and those plates are going to fall off from time to time.

It’s not a matter of ‘if’ the plates fall off, it’s a matter of ‘when’ the plates fall off and how you put those plates back together to ensure that you’re doing the best that you can.

There is time and…you’re full of sh*t!
