A great, wise man once said that life is pain, but suffering is optional. His name was Buddha and I kind of like to use that in the context of business and say that business is painful. Very painful. But the suffering part is very optional.

Suffering is really a point of view. It’s really a perspective. And we understand that the things in business that are painful, are by design there to give us the lessons that we need in order to go to the next level.

The suffering can really be taken away, the suffering can be resolved and we can actually start to enjoy the journey. So, one of the things we need to remember in business – yes, it is painful, but the suffering that’s optional.

Turn your suffering into perspective. Turn your suffering into lessons. Learn the lesson and say goodbye to suffering. Enjoy the pain.
