Who would agree that while fear has saved you from a lot of pain and potential personal damage, it’s also prevented you from living a much fuller life?
I think that’s where the rub is.
I think often times we get too ingrained in the things we’re afraid of, to the point where we actually fear to live life itself.
If we want to conquer fear, what do we need to do?
Be fearful? Confront it?
The first thing we need to do is we need to be aware of fear.
Ask yourself the question, “What am I really afraid of?”
Because the tools that are required to deal with fear are useless unless we have something to use them on.
A hammer is useless unless you’re trying to build something with it.
Fear is very practical and it only becomes impractical when it prevents us from doing the things we want to actually do.
Because, let me ask you this…what is on the other side of your fear?
Freedom? Growth? Clarity? Happiness?
Who fucking knows unless you go there.
