When I consider our net social media strategy in the last 2 years and 1 month, we’ve almost reached three quarters of a billion people with our social media.

Wow…I can’t f***ing believe that! I have to pinch myself, that’s just in terms of reach.

We’ve engaged with over half a billion people, we’ve had close to half a billion videos that have been viewed, most being organic. The net effect of that has been, in essence, now in excess of eight figures. Multiples of return in revenue. We’re talking tens of millions dollars in return, as a result of social media.

What would I say the ROI on that be? I’d say millions of percent.

To give you context, in the last campaign that we ran…and every campaign is different, I think we ended up spending $34,000 in a paid campaign. That was targeted to a well branded audience and that produced net sales over the next 3 months of about 5 million dollars.

Let’s look at the dollars that were spent and break it down. So let’s say $40,000 bucks rounded up in, and the net effect of 5 million dollars return. I don’t even have the mental agility to process what those numbers mean percentage wise. What I can say is…it’s a lot! It’s a lot, it’s enormous.

What’s interesting right now, we’re looking to double down even further.

We only do paid promotional campaigns 4 times a year in line with our promotional schedule. We do paid branding every single day. We’re about to take our paid branding budget from $35,000 a month to $200,000 per month.

The Social Media window

Now, the reason why I’m now doing this is because I understand we have a very limited window in the next 2,3, 4 years to be able to maximise the attention that facebook holds, and that instagram holds.

If you think what we’ve done now is good, we’ve done 80 to 90 percent of our branding to date, unpaid. We’re literally about to get serious right now and say, let’s blow this f***ing thing up.

And I’m kinda like…whooh!

If we can get this far by with simply an enormous amount of effort, and let’s be honest we’ve been feeling our way as we progress. We’ve been working this out as we go, we’ve been standing on the shoulders of giants and following the greats that have done it before us.

Gary Vanyerchuck has been a huge influence in all the things we do, and we’ve been following him. We watch what he does, pick it apart and pull the eyes out and identify and customise that, for what it is we do.

ROI: Return On Investment

In terms of ROI it’s indescribable.I think every business on the planet has a clock that’s going tick tock.

Every single business on the planet should have a timer on the wall that is set for 36 months, that is counting down weeks, broken down by hours, broken down by minutes and by seconds, and it’s just ticking down.

That, In the context of social media is what is going on right now.

We are on this limited window of time to invest as much as we possible can to dominate the next phase of business.

Whoever owns social media in the next 3 years is going to own media for the next 5, 10 or 20 years…

We don’t know how long this window will be open for us all. What we do know is right now we have the interwebs, we’ve got this beautiful thing called the interwebs. There are many things that connect us to the internet. We have search engines, which is very much a direct response mechanism.

We have this layer between the internet and humanity and that’s called social media.

Social media is how we navigate the internet, I’d go so far to say based on the statistics, I’d say 70 to 80 percent of your internet use would be driven by the links you’re clicking on from social media.

So, right now social media is where it’s at and there’s a limited window to really establish yourself very strongly. In the next 3 years. Let’s call it 4 years, and the more people that do that the stronger the ROI is going to be for the next 5 to 10 years on and who knows where it could go from there.

Yeah, so don’t wait.
