There’s a great quote by one of our old K2’s called Jack Zuvelek on why most people’s health and fitness plans never work.
It’s because they’re punishing the body that they hate instead of creating the body that they love.
When I go to the gym, my philosophy was I’m going there to fucking punish myself, literally.
So, when I heard what Jack Zuvelek had to say, it was a huge light bulb moment.
I thought, ‘’Holy crap, why I am punishing myself?”
I’m punishing my body and I’m hoping that by punishing my body, it will show up in the way that I want it to.
If I punish myself then my body will it give me what I want?
Are you fucking kidding me Kerwin?
How on earth can I create the body that I love when I’m trying to punish it in the first place for being what it is?
If you can’t accept self, you will judge self. And if you judge self, you’ll judge others which means you will project.
And you’ll be constantly chasing something that you won’t able to achieve, purely based on the fact that you haven’t accepted where you are in the first place.

Totally a light bulb moment for me on this one. So simple, so fitting, so perfect and true. I have approached my health and body both ways, by punishing and by creating, and it is obvious which gives me the results I am wanting.
I can’t help but apply this philosophy to all areas of life. What happens when you punish a child, hate money and wealthy people, curse the pizza you just ate, or scream at a significant other? Resistance, pushing against, hate, and punishment rarely yield the desired results. They only cause more resistance and inner conflict.
Thank you Kerwin! You and your lessons are always much appreciated 🙂 Kristi
Great to hear you’re making huge action!
