You can see all the potential in the world in someone, but at the end of the day, in order for them to succeed they’ve got to see that potential in themselves.
I honestly believe the best way to build someone’s confidence is to give them challenges that they can accomplish.
Because you can give someone all the pats in the world but it’s not going to build their self-confidence.
You can tell someone that you don’t have to be afraid anymore a hundred times but it’s not going to make their fear go away.
You can constantly encourage people until you’re blue in the face, but if they don’t believe in themselves then it’s going to fall on deaf ears.
So, what can you do to help someone build more self-confidence?
I think it’s important to put people into situations where there’s a challenge, a challenge that provides an appropriate amount of fear but not too much that overwhelms them so that they become incapacitated. It’s about building them up slowly.
